Celebrating National Vet Tech Week!

Join us in celebrating the fine work of the Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) during National Veterinary Technician Week. FVH has 3, wonderfully skilled LVT staff members. They have received college training, performed multiple veterinary externships, passed national board exams, and, in the case of Debbie, achieved board certified recognition for advanced training in feline and canine specialty care! LVT staff are the human medical equivalent of registered nurses, a direct support to our veterinarians during both outpatient care and surgical procedures. Without our technicians the quality of patient care would not be as great as it is at FVH.

Why choose FVH? Clients say it best!

Client referrals are the number one way in which new clients come to FVH and we plan to always keep it that way! At FVH we are striving to do our best for each and every patient that visits us; after all, that’s why each employee at FVH chose this career path, to serve the special bond between humans and animals. More often than not we provide a quality and caring experience for our patients, accomplishing the very high standards we set for ourselves. Knowing we are not perfect is sometimes hard to accept and the occasional “dropped ball” does … Read more »

To Better Serve You in 2014!

FVH will be launching new approaches to our delivery of care to better serve you in 2014. Each year we continually survey our clients to get feedback on ways in which we can improve. This information you provide is valuable and we listen. With the start of the new year you may notice some of our changes: Our lobby is quieter with all incoming phone calls handled by a dedicated staff member in a separate location of the hospital. Appointments are better staggered to avoid overburden of our lobby. We now have a room manager that will guide you through … Read more »

Christmas reflection at ol’ FVH

Christmas and the New Year are a time for celebration of family, personal reflection, and renewed promises to set goals for bettering ourselves and the community we live in during the coming year. This past weekend FVH had its annual holiday party, bringing together each of our families for amazing food, games and conversation. FVH Bucks program benefits the Whatcom Humane Society

As proud supporters of the Whatcom Humane Society we are again calling for donations of your earned FVH Bucks to benefit a special building fundraiser continuing through the end of the year. With WHS in desperate need of a new facility to take care of the homeless animals in our community, FVH is offering to match the first $500 in donations. We have placed a collection bowl in our reception area and are encouraging not only donations of FVH Bucks, but cash and checks will be accepted as well. WHS has a generous benefactor that will match our donation too! That will ultimately quadruple … Read more »
